Gurukrupa College of Engineering is committed to providing every student a safe, respectful and harassment-free campus. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with the severest consequences.
Gurukrupa College of Engineering (GCE) is deeply committed to ensuring a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for every student. The college has adopted a strict Zero Tolerance Policy against ragging in full compliance with AICTE, UGC, and the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India guidelines.
The Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad are constituted at GCE and are empowered to take immediate action against any reported incident. CCTV surveillance is operational throughout the campus, and all incidents are treated with the utmost seriousness.
Every student at GCE has the right to study in a safe, dignified and ragging-free environment. It is the collective responsibility of students, faculty, staff and parents to uphold this right and report any violation without hesitation.
Ragging is defined as any act that causes or is likely to cause physical, psychological, physiological, or emotional harm or apprehension to a student. It includes any act of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any junior student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities that cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm to any student.
Ragging also includes asking a student to do any act or perform anything that such a student will not willingly do in the ordinary course. It encompasses any act that affects the mental health and self-confidence of a student, deprives or disturbs their academic activities, or has an adverse effect on their overall personality development.
Ragging may be physical, verbal, psychological, sexual or any form of abuse — whether done in person, in groups, online, through social media, or through any other medium.
Ragging takes many forms. All of the following acts are strictly banned at GCE and will attract severe disciplinary action.
Hitting, pushing, forcing to perform physical tasks, physical discomfort, sleep deprivation or any form of physical harm or threat to juniors.
Shouting at, using offensive language, making derogatory remarks, humiliation in public, forcing to speak in a certain way or act upon verbal commands.
Threatening, intimidating, creating fear, mental torture, forcing to confess, or any act that causes psychological trauma or stress to a student.
Ragging through social media, WhatsApp, phone calls, emails, online platforms or any digital medium targeting junior students.
Deliberately isolating, boycotting, preventing a student from participating in activities or denying them basic campus rights and privileges.
Forcing a junior to spend money on seniors, pay for meals or entertainment, extortion or demanding money or valuables in any form.
Any sexually offensive remark, gesture, act or demand made against a student's will — stringently punished under both anti-ragging and POSH Act provisions.
Forcing a student to wear uncomfortable clothing, perform embarrassing acts, sing songs, dance or carry out any demeaning activity against their will.
GCE treats ragging as a zero-tolerance offence. Any student found guilty of ragging — whether as a perpetrator, abettor or silent witness — will face immediate and severe disciplinary action in addition to legal proceedings.

The Anti-Ragging Committee is a statutory body empowered to investigate complaints, conduct inquiries and recommend action against violators.

Every student admitted to GCE must sign the Anti-Ragging Undertaking. This is mandatory as per AICTE and UGC regulations.

Report directly to the Principal's Office at GCE or any faculty member you trust. You can also email the Principal at gceprincipal26@gmail.com.
Submit a written complaint to the Anti-Ragging Committee detailing the incident — date, time, place, persons involved and nature of ragging. Anonymous complaints are also accepted.
You may also file a complaint on the UGC National Anti-Ragging Portal at www.antiragging.in which will be directly forwarded to the institution and authorities.
The Anti-Ragging Committee will conduct a confidential inquiry within the prescribed time. The victim's identity is protected throughout the inquiry process.
Based on the inquiry findings, the committee will recommend appropriate disciplinary action which will be implemented immediately by the Principal and management.
In addition to the Anti-Ragging Committee, GCE has a dedicated Student Grievance Redressal Cell to address academic, administrative and personal complaints from students. The Grievance Cell ensures fair, prompt and confidential handling of all student concerns.
You can approach the Grievance Cell for issues related to academics, examination, fees, hostel, transport, faculty conduct, administrative delays, or any other matter affecting your academic life at GCE.
All complaints are treated with complete confidentiality. Retaliatory action is itself a punishable offence.
